“Every person is defined by the communities she belongs to.”
— Orson Scott Card
Bamby Collective is an online community that is free for girls of all ages, from all backgrounds to join. In a world where social media has increasingly negative impacts on our mental health, and can lead us to feeling isolated and alone, community is more important than ever. Bamby Collective was created with the purpose of being a safe space for girls online, to seek advice from each other, support one another, and grow together.
The Bamby Collective Instagram serves as an educational and uplifting platform that covers a variety of topics such as body image, sexual health and relationships. The Facebook group is a place where members of the community can talk freely without judgement, whether that be to ask for advice, vent, or seek friendship. The blog serves as a shared space for members of the collective to tell their stories, the things they’ve been through, and the things they’ve learned.
Note from our Founder
Hiya! My name is Ambar Driscoll. When I started Bamby Collective I really just wanted to create a positive online space for girls. No one really teaches us how to use social media despite the vast amount of time we spend on it, and I wanted to create something where girls could learn about things like diet culture & self love, whilst also feeling like they belonged to something - I think that’s important. We tend to compare ourselves to other people so often, there needs to be more positive spaces on social media. Seeing how much Bamby Collective has grown in the past few months has been so touching to see - everyone is just so supportive of each other despite not having met. I’ve seen real friendships form between these girls. If you want to join please do! We’d love to have you.
